Pisces: February 19 - March 20

The last constellation in the zodiac, the Pisces is a water sign. Empathetic, compassionate, and creative, these are a few traits that the Pisces have. Keeping to the traditional symbolism, the Pisces wire art displays two fish swimming in opposite directions representing the division of Pisces' attention between fantasy and reality. *Note: Photo 1 and 2 best represents the true blue colour.

How it's made

Designing

Nini starts off the creative process with a pen and paper and a dose of inspiration. Coming up with an idea is easy but creating a design that uses only a single piece of wire can be challenging. Each design is influenced by Nini's surroundings, interests, trends, and past design experience. What starts as a quick doodle in a sketchbook is cleaned up and transformed into a minimal single line design that utilizes loops, bends, twists and lots of white space.

Creating

After the design phase comes the wiring process. All wire art pieces available on With Nini are handmade with love, sore fingers, and the occasional assistance of pliers. Oh, and plenty of patience. Nini brings her art to life by guiding the wire through curves, twists, and loops based on the original design. The characteristics of the wire assure no two pieces are identical, meaning each finished product is truly unique.

Ready to Adopt

To prep it for its new home, each wire art piece is displayed in a custom sustainable wood frame. Fixed securely behind the glass, the wire art pieces do not lay completely flat. Unlike two-dimensional art, the raised wire allows for unique shadows to be cast under certain lighting conditions. After a final inspection, the wire art is now ready for its journey to its forever home!
